Huawei Mate 60 Pro's AnTuTu and Geekbench scores expose
Performance slightly better than Snapdragon 888: Huawei Mate 60 Pro's AnTuTu and Geekbench scores exposed; lags behind competitors by two generations!"
Without any prior warning, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro was released for sale this morning, leaving everyone curious about which processor it is equipped with. Just recently, the AnTuTu website revealed the mystery and also analyzed the CPU specifications and performance of this processor. Let's dive in and learn more!
According to information from the AnTuTu official website, the Mate 60 Pro is powered by the Huawei Kirin 9000s (temporary name) processor. This processor features a "2+6+4" twelve-core design, consisting of 2 x Cortex A34 cores, 6 x Cortex A78AE cores, and 4 x Cortex A510 cores. Its CPU's highest clock speed is 2.62GHz, and the GPU model is Maleoon, with current performance unknown.
So, where does the Kirin 9000s stand in terms of overall performance? After AnTuTu benchmark testing, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro scored 699,000 points. The official judgment is that it outperforms the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 but falls slightly behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor. With the next generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 set to be released in two months, it means that the Mate 60 Pro's overall performance will be at least two generations behind or more compared to competitors!
On the other hand, we also have the Geekbench 6 scores for the Mate 60 Pro, with a single-core score of 1225 and a multi-core score of 3295. Once again, this confirms that its performance is only on par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, so performance enthusiasts may not find this new device appealing.
Let's quickly review the key specifications of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro. This new phone features a second-generation curved glass body and supports IP68 dust and water resistance. On the front, it has a 6.82-inch 1.5K resolution OLED screen with LTPO technology. Inside, it houses the Kirin 9000s chip and supports 5G networks!
In terms of photography, the flagship device is equipped with a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera (F1.4 ~ F4.0; OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48-megapixel super macro telephoto camera with OIS. The main camera not only features an OIS optical stabilization system but also supports a variable aperture from F1.4 to F4.0. The auxiliary camera supports not only ultra-wide-angle photography but also 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom shooting!
Furthermore, the standout feature of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro is that it is the world's first smartphone to support satellite communication. In terms of battery life, this flagship device comes with a 5000mAh battery, 88W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 20W reverse charging technology.
After considering the performance and key specifications mentioned above, are you still interested in the Huawei Mate 60 Pro, priced at CNY 6,999 (approximately RM4,465 in Malaysian Ringgit, approximately TWD 30,630 in New Taiwan Dollar, and approximately HKD 7,630)?
